“Life Among The Ruins” placed as a Quarter-Finalist for The Academy’s prestigious Nicholl Fellowship, and won or placed highly at screenplay competitions which include Cinestory, Silver Screenwriting, Beverly Hills Film Festival, SoCal Independent Film Festival, London Independent Film Festival, Moondance Film Festival and San Diego Film Festival. The script received excellent coverage from numerous industry sources, including Lisa Alden (Head Writer for “Entourage”), as well as readers at Playtone, the Gersh Agency, ThinkFilm and many others. The script was in development at Jane Startz Productions in New York City.
Set in a Brooklyn supermarket during the sweltering summer of 1998 and touching on themes that are strikingly relevant, “Life Among the Ruins” is a timely, darkly comic slice-of-life morality tale for a generation adrift.
